For retaining Fireflex seals Bestobell recommend BAS244 stainless steel worm drive clamps. These provide uniform tightening and higher sealing integrity, than nut and bolt arrangements.
Quick to install and occupying minimal space, the wide adjustment range enables low inventory levels.
For retaining Jetfire seals (stiffer due to the rubber coated mesh outer cover) Bestobell propose a stainless steel Band IT© clamp for most applications.
Where pipe diameters exceed 350mm, double clipping should be adopted.
As clamp rings are readily available on offshore platforms, these are not generally supplied as part of the sealing package.
